Patrick Ta Beauty is looking for a talented Copywriter to join our team. This role will be central to bringing our brand voice to life across all consumer touchpoints. This role will report to the SVP of Marketing.  Ideally this individual will have a strong work ethic, organization skills, attention to detail, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment that is team driven, results driven and service oriented. We are looking for a candidate who has had previous experience in the beauty space. Extra consideration will be given to anyone who has worked in a startup environment before. This position is onsite, located in West Hollywood, CA.

Patrick Ta Beauty was founded in 2019 by world-renowned celebrity makeup artist, Patrick Ta and one of his first-ever clients and beauty and skincare expert, Rima Minasyan. The pair work together to create, perfect, and launch each product for both the makeup artist and the everyday makeup wearer. Patrick Ta Beauty's goal has always been to make their consumer feel great in their skin and give them versatile products that can create any look.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Craft, refine and protect the brand voice across every consumer touchpoint from in-store to online. Adhere to and build upon the established brand brand voice style guide as well as tone & manner guidelines and implement across all content creation projects.
  • Develop copy and brand storytelling across 360 campaigns for the launch of new products, core/existing products, website including email marketing, traditional media, paid digital and social ads, blogs, product pages for ecommerce (brand and retailer.com), packaging, in-store merchandising and printed collateral such as mailers and eventing/conference materials. Create copy library for brand and maintainance.
  • Own the product copy process working closely with product development and marketing teams to write product names, descriptors, packaging copy, and shipping materials/boxes.
  • Support marketing 360 plan campaign concept development working closely with creative teams (both internal and external), marketing and sales/education teams to create a holistic communication plan ensuring all messaging is aligned across touchpoints.
  • Craft Customer Care talking points and messaging relating to all direct to consumer communications both direct contact and via social media.
  • Work closely with the brand founder to write scripts, speeches or product/artistry technique “tag lines/catch phrases” for use during public appearances, social media, events, etc.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years experience copywriting for a brand (in-house, agency or freelance). Beauty brand experience a plus
  • Bachelors Degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
  • Writing portfolio required
  • Exceptional storyteller with a background in digital channels and proven ability to write short-form marketing copy. Experience with digital first brands with heavy social influence a plus
  • Openness to stay closely connected to our consumers via social comments, product reviews etc. to help refine our voice and communication style
  • Experience with and strong understanding of SEO
  • Solid grammar, editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to think strategically and conceptualize creatively
  • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills and extremely strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy of work
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with and good understanding of basic beauty industry regulatory requirements and claims language a plus
  • Creative problem solver and desire to pioneer (comfortable with ambiguity and “finding a way”) to get things done and put process in place

SALARY RANGE
$100,000 - $120,000(DOE)
