The NPL Project Manager role requires a blend of strategic thinking, excellent organization and communication skills, and a proven track record of creating and implementing processes.  The project manager will take the lead in navigating the complexities of the New Product Development process.  This person will manage the process of all product launch initiatives from inception of project to final production and delivery to the 3PL, while managing and escalating risk and adhering to cost and timing targets.

Patrick Ta Beauty was founded in 2019 by world-renowned celebrity makeup artist, Patrick Ta and one of his first-ever clients and beauty and skincare expert, Rima Minasyan. The pair work together to create, perfect, and launch each product for both the makeup artist and the everyday makeup wearer. Patrick Ta Beauty's goal has always been to make their consumer feel great in their skin and give them versatile products that can create any look.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Timeline Management: Develop and manage project timelines with cross-functional departments to build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and to foster opportunities for innovation
  • Stage Gate Process: Create and implement a comprehensive NPL stage gate process to ensure accountability, risk awareness, and signoff during various stages of dvpmt
  • Project Management: Keep projects on track through clear timelines, issue tracking, status/risk reports, and meeting notes. 
  • Artwork: Manage artwork process in PjM software, Asana, to ensure accurate, timely completion of artwork and turnover to vendor
  • Risk Escalation: Elevate and communicate risks at the project level, including respective mitigation plans.
  • Collaborative Leader: Lead all project meetings with internal and external (vendors and CM’s) cross functional partners and coordinate the seamless integration between Marketing, PD, R&D, Packaging and Supply Chain functions involved in developing new products, ensuring cost targets and timelines are adhered to for new launches
  • Assertive Leader: Lead, motivate, and champion education of the NPL process with cross functional partners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • 8+ years of experience in project management experience, specifically within the beauty or personal care industry, with a proven track record to create and impact process.  Bonus if experience at a start-up and/or founder-led brand
  • Strong proficiency with PjM software
  • Familiarity with being the point person for internal or external clients
  • Advanced strategic thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex projects and multi-task with excellent organization skills
  • Proficient in risk management to anticipate and mitigate potential development delays
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Self-starter and team player with creative problem-solving skills
  • Superior multi-tasking and collaboration skills
